Caring for someone diagnoses with disabilities such as cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure, Alzheimer’s Disease, dementia, stroke, heart disease, asthma or other pulmonary conditions can be challenging not only for the client but the entire family. A person use to being very independent may now find they need assistance with even some of the simple functions such as their ACTIVITIES OF DAILY LIVING (ADL’S) or  INSTRUMENTAL ACTIVITIES OF DAILY LIVING (IADL’S)

PERSONAL CARE ASSISTANCE 

Our Personal Care Assistance Program is a combination of Personal Care Assistance and Home Making Services. It is designed to make life easier, less stressful and enojoyable.

 

 

Assistance with ACTIVITIES OF DAILY LIVING (ADL’S)

 Assistance with INSTRUMENTAL ACTIVITIES OF DAILY LIVING (IADL’S)

Assistance with ADL's SUCH AS:

  1. assisting with walking

  2. assisting with transfers

  3. assisting with eating 

  4. assisting with dressing 

  5. assisting with toileting

  6. assisting with grooming

  7. assisting with mouth/denture care

  8. reminding member to take medications

  9. preparing meals/clean up

  10. encouraging proper nutrition

  11. encouraging physical activity

  12. encouraging physical activity

  13. assisting with simple exercise

  14. arranging medical trips

  15. picking up prescriptions

  16. accompanying member on medical appointments

  17. providing watchful supervision and Oversight

  18. observing and reporting meal accumulation and food storage or cooking equipment failure

  19. observing/reporting changes in member condition

Assistance with IADL's SUCH AS ,

  1. vacuuming,

  2. sweeping,

  3. dusting,

  4. mopping,

  5. doing laundry, foldingand putting away 

  6. changing linens,

  7. Shopping for groceries or clothing

  8. assisting with bill paying,

  9. assisting with food stamp or other application

  10. Transportation

  11. escorting to Medical appointments

  12. Taking medications as prescribed,

  13. Managing money, ,

  14. Use of telephone or other form of communication
